In this video, we will show you how to set up your ROAM ladder with a ROAM Vagabond Roof Top Tent in 2 easy steps. This mounting process will be the same for the Vagabond Lite and Vagabond XL Roof Top Tents. 

Proper setup of your ladder is extremely important. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage to property. ROAM is not responsible for misuse of the ladder.

Step 1: Fully Extent Your Ladder

1. Make sure that the tent is level and completely seated. 

2. Make sure there is nothing inside the seam where the tent is coming together.

Step 2: Ensure You Have the Proper Angle

Note: You ladder takes 1/3 the load of your tent. 

1. Make sure it is roughly 15 degrees. Note you don't want it too far out or vertical as it makes it difficult to enter your tent. 

2. Begin with the top rung. Depress the buttons and slide the ladder into position. Ensure that your tent is stable before climbing in. 

 

It's simple to set up your ladder, but there are plenty of ways that you can accidentally set it up incorrectly. Ensure that your roof top tent ladder is not extended too far or at 90 degrees. This can be very dangerous. Always ensure that your tent base is sturdy and ladder is locked in place. Happy camping!
